The Theosalt School of Ministry in Ho has graduated 30 into the Christian ministerial service at its maiden passing out ceremony. The school, a subsidiary of Theosalt Ministries International (TMI), a Christian development organisation, was established in 2018 at Salaga in the Savanna region. It was brought to the Ho Municipality by the Reverend Godson Bodzah, the President of the School, and Chief Executive Officer of the TMI, who had been appointed head pastor of the Evangelical Central Church of the Assemblies of God.The graduates had completed a six-month programme with courses covering leadership, ministry, evangelism, church administration, marriage, ministerial ethics, and ICT.Rev. Bodzah, in an address, underscored the importance of theological education, and said it helped nurture the vision of the school.“Theological education is the foundation for Christian missions. In truth, sound theological education is important for building and equipping the capacity of the present and future ministerial workforce for global harvest.“Theological education is important in this 21st century as it helps equip the ministerial workforce for the eleventh-hour global harvest. In the light of this, Theosalt Educational Ministry exists to supplement other theological education institutions in the building, training, and equipping of people to assist the local church in its missional agenda fulfilling the mission of God.Rev. Bodzah led ordination rites for the graduates, after the award of certificates. He said graduates had received empowerment from the Holy Spirit to “impact this generation by winning souls into the Kingdom of God,” and encouraged others to consider theological education to help promote the mission of the Church.Rev. Boniface Keelson, who delivered a sermon, called on the graduates to follow the “Jesus model”, which he said was a “systematic progression of a true minister”, that would help manifest the call to serve the faith.Rev. Eric Seyram Anku, the Principal of the School, said the classes began in January 2022 with 40 students from the Evangelical Central Church and other churches in the region. He said the school was currently being run by a teaching staff of five, and a three-member management team from the basic school facilities of the Church and sought support to advance the institution.Traditional leaders of Ahoe honoured the event and pledged to support the Church. They presented bags of cement towards the reconstruction of its auditorium building, which had been blighted by fire last year. The Church had provided a borehole facility for the Ahoe community and had announced plans to provide same for the community hosting its basic school.Mr Divine Bosson, the Ho Municipal Chief Executive who launched the Theological School at the ceremony, commended the community development initiatives of the church, as well as the resolve to help grow the Christian institution. He called on them to work towards the elevation of the Municipality and said the efforts of the Church should augment the efforts of the government. The MCE also pledged to support the reconstruction of the church building and the community water projects.Awards were presented to outstanding students and staff, and a citation was awarded the President of the School by the General Overseer of Evangelical Salvation Church, who was among the graduates.
